And the dish seemed so simple and had obvious ingredients. It just had pav bhaji topped with some cheese and some spices. But the taste was so good that I had decided to make this dish next when ever I prepare pav bhaji. Yes it uses left over pav bhaji.

I so wanted to make these cheese bun maska that I specially prepared pav bhaji. So that next day I can prepare this fabulous dish. Chilli Cheese Bun Maska is a left over pav bhaji recipe.

Earlier if I had some left over pav bhaji I would make pav bhaji sandwich. I would be posting its recipe soon. But having tasted these Chilli Cheese Bun Maska I could not wait longer to try it out.

If you do not have pav bhaji and you still want to make this yummy dish you can just make pav bhaji without potatoes and follow the remaining steps as it is. Just add Onion, Ginger garlic chilli paste capsicum and tomatoes to oil and cook it with pav bhaji masala , salt, turmeric, red chilly powder and turmeric. You can skip potatoes and that makes the process faster. Here I have added potatoes as I have used left over pav bhaji.

Its so simple, quick and tasty that even my hubby could prepare a batch for dinner that day and then boasted about cooking :-).

Ingredients
  • 6-8 Bun Pav
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Cup Pav Bhaji's Bhaji
  • 5-6 Cheese Cubes
  • Oregano (as per taste)
  • Chilli Flakes (as per taste)
Instructions
  1. Slit Bun Pav from the middle as shown in the pic and apply butter on it. Do not be too generous on butter as we will be adding greated cheese later.
  2. Sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes on the pav as per your taste.
  3. Apply some Pav Bhaji's Bhaji on the pavs. Make sure pav bhaji consistency is not too runny or it will make pav too soggy.
  4. Grate some cheese and again sprinkle some oregano and chilli flakes over it.
  5. Now just place the bun pavs in microwave for a minute or till the cheese melts. Take them out and serve these delicious. If you wish you can make it crispy. Chilli Cheese Bun Maska with chilli Sauce or Tomato Ketchep.
