I added cocoa powder which gave these rolls an amazing chocolaty flavour and a reason to my kid to try out “Date Cocoa Rolls”.

This date cocoa rolls recipe can be a good option for parties or get together. It also goes well as evening snack.
Here I have taken brown dates. I have tried recipe with brown and black dates both. But black dates are softer in texture and tend to cook faster. It starts releasing moisture which makes it difficult to roll and set this dates cocoa rolls.
I have used home made fresh cream but if you do not have it you can take any ready made full fat cream from the stores.

You can reduce the amount of biscuits if you wish as they are just for the crunch and little extra taste. But make sure you keep it longer in refrigerator as roll would be moist. Before cutting the log make sure it is tight, dry and use a sharp knife to cut the slices.

My kid loved it and I got a cheat way to feed him nutritious dates, cream, almonds and coconut. Store it and keep it refrigerated. It stays fresh for more than a week.
