Tomato Soup Recipe/Restaurant Style Tomato Soup
Diwali is over and Winter is almost here. After relishing all the sinful treats of Diwali its time now to enjoy some healthy and soothing stuff. And what better than a hot, tasty and healthy bowl of soup. Tomato Soup is an evergreen soup which can be enjoyed by every one. This soup tastes same like restaurant and its loaded with nutritional veggies like carrots, onion and garlic.
Along with the tomatoes this soup also has carrots onions and garlic because the taste of tomatoes remain dominant in this recipe. I had learnt this soup from a cook book which mentioned adding tulsi leaves to this soup. Tulsi can take the nutritional value of this soup to another level. You can also add mint for garnishing.
Here I have pressure cooked all the veggies and than strain the mixture after blending them. If you want to skip the straining part make sure you remove tomato skin before blending. Straining the mixture gives a smooth consistency to tomato soup.
Tomatoes are full of antioxidants and a good source of vitamin A and C. In fact lot people are unaware that tomato is actually a fruit and not a vegetable. Adding black pepper to soups prevents us from catching cold and cough during winters and boosts immunity. So it is a complete package of beneficial nutrients, taste and health.
Soups also help in increasing appetite and that is the reason it is served before the meal. For kids and babies soups are must in their diet. And tomato soup is the most common soup available in restaurants but nothing can beat this creamy homemade tomato soup.
Do not tell any one that you added carrots, onion and garlic to the soup ;-). No body would be able to guess it.
